As part of the History departments policy of stretching and extending students with an interest in History, the department made keen students aware of a rewrite history competition run by the Bedfordshire Archives and Records Service. The entrant had to write a short story based on a historical source. We are delighted that one of our brightest and best, Tegan Ingram excelled herself and won the competition with her entry ‘Muddy Boots’ set in World War I. We are delighted for her and she has rightly received a £10 café voucher and a History Star badge as well as book vouchers from the competition organisers. In addition, Tegan has gained the school £100 worth of book vouchers in her impressive haul of rewards. Well done to her.

Special mention should also go to Layla Pratt and Holly Porter who also did very well in the competition, receiving certificates and anthologies from the competition organisers and who are also History stars.

Well done to you all.
