About this event
Join Hyde Collection curators Bryn Schockmel and Derin Tanyol, exhibiting artist Sharon Core, Erika Gaffney, founder of Art Herstory, and Amanda Malmstrom, Associate Curator at Thomas Cole National Historic Site, in a conversation about still life—the subject of three exhibitions on view in The Hyde's fall/winter 2025 season. As a genre of art-making that historically has been considered the domain of women artists, still life in both painting and photography sparks questions about gendered realms of artistic production, subject versus style, and the boundaries between realism and artifice.
Event times and information subject to change and not guaranteed.
