Provider Access Policy and Employer Engagement - Queensbury Academy

Provider Access Policy and Employer Engagement

Help us to help you

We know that employers in the UK have concerns about skills gaps and the work-readiness of some young people.

The Queensbury Academy is a member of the SEMLEP Careers and Enterprise Network, part of the national Careers and Enterprise Company programme.

Our aim is that through employer engagement at all ages, we ensure that young people leave our school with the skills, competencies, knowledge, appropriate qualifications and attitudes needed by employers for both their own career development and economic sustainability and growth.

Provider Access Policy

Provider Access Policy 2023

This policy statement aims to set out our school’s arrangements for managing the access of education and training providers to students for the purpose of giving them information about their offer.

It sets out:

  •  Procedures in relation to requests for access
  • Opportunities for access - the grounds for granting and refusing requests for access
  • Details of premises or facilities to be provided to a person who is given access
  • Overview of our careers programme - Gatsby Benchmark Framework
  • Impact and student destinations

Monitoring arrangements

The school’s arrangements for managing the access of education and training providers to students are monitored by Catherine Holt (Careers Lead), Paul Yarnell (Head of Sixth Form) and Katherine Briggs (Assistant Headteacher) This policy will be reviewed every two years or earlier if there are changes to the guidance or legislation.

Last review - September 2023
